As we close out the 2022 calendar year, we are finishing up our tree donations. Our "A Walk in the Forest" project turned out to be a great success, despite covid's constant interference. Here is an update:
Part 1 of our project: 1,000 trees have been/will be planted in the Liverpool, England area in conjunction with local planting group Mersey Forest! We are so excited to be able to help bring more trees back to the City of Liverpool, Merseyside, and its suburbs--an area of great need. Liverpool only has 6% canopy coverage--so our tree donation is making a tremendous difference! Trees are being planted again this Fall. This planting was through the Queen's Green Canopy as part of the Platinum Jubilee to honor HRM Queen Elizabeth II. Learn more about the Queen's Green Canopy at: https://queensgreencanopy.org/
Part 2 of our project: 5 Thatch Palms were just planted on Chilean Avenue in Palm Beach--as part of Pan's Garden. The trees we donated were planted the last week of August 2022 and are natives--perfect for Florida's first all native public garden. A couple blocks from Worth Avenue!
Part 3 of our project: 37 flowering trees will be planted on November 5, 2022 on the empty city-owned parcel on Woolbright Road, just west of Congress Avenue and the fire station. This empty parcel is a bit of an eyesore, so our trees will go a long way in beautifying the area. Thousands drive by here daily and will enjoy our trees.
Part 4 of our project: We are donating 5 signature trees to be planted in the main road of the Woodlawn Cemetery (an historic cemetery across from The Norton Museum of Art) on S Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach. The area is sorely lacking in trees. These will be flowering trees that will beautify this area of West Palm Beach for years to come. Thousands will drive by or view from the many tall buildings in the city daily. This will be in November-December 2022.
Part 5 of our project: We donated 10,000 trees to Forest Nation to be planted in Tanzania! This was part of our 15th birthday celebrations in July 2022. Learn more about Forest Nation at: https://forestnation.com/ Learn more about our donation at: https://forestnation.com/net/forests/sgsofpb/
A final tree donation will be made in Fall 2022: We will donate 96 trees to the Queen's Green Canopy, again, in honor of Queen Elizabeth II. The trees will likely go to Glasgow, Scotland--an area of great need in the UK. This will be in December 2022.

We donated 10,000 trees to tree-planting company Forest Nation. This company has been planting trees in areas of need for years. Learn more about our donation at:

Through funds raised during our "A Walk in the Forest" project, as well as donations raised during our 15th birthday luncheon, we were able to pay for 10,000 trees to be planted in Tanzania (a Commonwealth nation)!!!! We are so excited to be able to support the Trillion Tree Project that Forest Nation is a part of, as well as supporting Tanzania during the Platinum Jubilee year where Commonwealth countries are planting trees to honor HRM Queen Elizabeth II in this 70th year of her reign. Dual purpose.
If you are unaware, Tanzania is in desperate need of trees--the water wars started a few years ago. Forest Nation has been working to solve this tree-deficiency problem for a few years now. We are thrilled to be a donor towards this transformative project. https://forestnation.com
